Ted Rechel founded Rechel & Associates in 1992 and has practiced family law exclusively ever since. Across that time he has guided Tampa Bay families through divorce, custody and time-sharing, support, and the financial questions that come with them, at the negotiating table and in the courtroom.
He is direct with clients about which path fits their situation. Some matters resolve best through careful negotiation that protects a working relationship parents will still need afterward. Others call for firm courtroom advocacy. Knowing which is which, and recognizing when circumstances call for a change of course, is what three decades of family law work provides.
Before narrowing his practice to family law, Ted handled civil, criminal, probate, real estate, bankruptcy, personal injury, and appellate matters, including cases before Florida's Second District Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Florida. He is AV Peer Rated and holds a 10.0 Avvo rating.
