Growing up in West Virginia taught Jacob Goss the importance of family, resilience, and hard work. He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from West Virginia University before moving to Florida to pursue his goal of becoming an attorney at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Tampa. After earning his law degree and being admitted to The Florida Bar in 2024, he made Tampa his permanent home and dedicated his career to helping individuals and families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

He found his focus in family law when he joined Rechel & Associates in 2025. His practice covers divorce, child custody disputes, child support matters, paternity actions, domestic violence cases, modifications, and other family law issues.

Family law, in his view, is about much more than legal documents and court hearings. It is about helping people move forward. Many clients arrive feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or frightened about what lies ahead. Jacob's aim is to provide not only strong legal representation but also the guidance, reassurance, and advocacy they need to begin the next chapter of their lives with confidence. The legal process can be challenging, and it can also be the first step toward a healthier, more stable future.

His background in psychology helps him recognize that every family has its own dynamics. He takes the time to listen, to understand his clients' concerns, and to develop practical solutions tailored to their circumstances. Having grown up in a divorced family himself, he also appreciates the emotional impact these cases have on both parents and children. That personal perspective shapes how he approaches every matter, while staying focused on what matters most to the client. Where children are involved, he believes their well-being belongs at the center of every decision.

Jacob is committed to responsive communication, honest advice, and dedicated advocacy throughout every stage of a case. Whether negotiating a settlement or preparing for litigation, his clients know they have an attorney who is invested in protecting their interests.

He is an active member of The Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Through these organizations he stays current on developments in family law.

Outside the office, Jacob enjoys staying active at the gym, spending evenings with his fiancee, gaming with lifelong friends across the country, camping, attending concerts, and making time for family whenever he can.
